Happy Tuesday!

Have you taken a good look at our Bold Wishes set?
It's got cool borders! It's got big fun sentiments! It's perfect for birthdays AND thank you cards!
It's a must have!
Check out this cool card using Bold Wishes from Vicki...

Isn't it great? I love the dramatic punch the black cardstock and enamel dots give to this card.
It has a wonderful masculine feel, but could just as easily be switched to girly by using soft feminine colors.
I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Many Thanks

Happy Saturday!
All I can say is thank goodness it's the weekend! Speaking of thanks, Kimberly is here today with a splendid thank you card using our Thanks stamp set.

How awesome are all of those delicious colors?  She stamped the sentiments from Thanks in different directions, and heat embossed the sentiment using multiple colors of embossing powder.

I really like the 2 tone embossing she did by sprinkling a little color on top of the word and the second color on the bottom. Looks awesome!

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Get Your Twinkle On

Happy Wednesday!

Have you heard that we're retiring 29 sets! 29!!
Lisa is here today using one of the sets that is on the retirement list.

Here's how she did it:
I have used the Star Dies and the Twinkle Set that is retiring. I wanted to go totally glam like the sentiment from the set implies so I used a mix of glittered papers. To keep the card interesting I used a "faux inlaid die cutting" technique. To get the look of overlapping cuts I first die cut the stars in silver, making sure the different sized stars overlapped at some point on the one before it. I then made sure to keep the small silver pieces that needed to go in between the cuts off to the side. Next I went ahead and cut the stars out of the red, white and blue glitter cardstocks, and layered them into the silver. Finally I added the small silver pieces back in and viola! It looks like I've created one flat surface without all of the work! I then stamped my sentiment in the upper right corner with Staz On Ink. The final touch to my card was going over the edges with my distress tool. Since I had cut everything out of glitter cardstock, I didn't feel the need to add any other embellishments. I hope to see you try this "faux inlaid die cutting technique" and make sure you tag us when you share it!

Look at all that delicious sparkle! I love how this looks and that retiring sentiment is super awesome on this card! Be sure to grab Twinkle and any of its retiring friends while they are still available.
They are priced to go and some of the sets are already sold out.

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

29 Sets Are Retiring!

Happy Sunday!
Happy Father's Day!!

I've got a great card and an announcement for you today!

Maureen created a really cool masculine card using Rad 2 and die cuts from Fun-Fetti and Heart Board Fri-dies. It looks complicated but it's actually easier than it appears!

How did she do it? Here's what Maureen said:
"To create the word cluster, I arranged the sentiments on my MISTI. Stamped first in the lightest color, then removed some sentiments, and stamped in the next color and repeated one more time. Then I filled in any gaps by stamping."
Super cool! I personally love the pops of red :)

Now on to my announcement...

I've got lots of great stamps in production for upcoming releases and still more ideas in my head, but not enough room for them all, so I've added 10 more sets to our Retiring category! 29 sets, stamps and Fri-Dies, are going, going until they are gone!
All sets are priced at their retiring sale price and no code is needed.
A couple of sets have sold out already and will not be restocked so hurry and grab the ones you can't live without while they are still available.

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Special Guest Amy Kolling!

Happy Friday!

Today we are joined by a special guest designer who is awesome. Simply Awesome!
Her style is often clean but always lovely. Her style is so warm and soft, which makes it so dreamy to look at. No doubt you've oohed and aahed over her work as you've surfed through blogland, or if you've been a long-time fan of our challenge blog.
Please welcome Amy Kolling and prepare to be delighted!!

Hello!  Amy Kolling here and I am so excited to be a guest for CAS-ual Fridays today!  I used to design for the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge Team so this is a bit of a homecoming for me!

I adore floral stamps because there are so many fun techniques you can use with them.  I went back to my roots of heat embossing with my favorite technique---Emboss Resist.  Pretty Posies is a perfect set to use with this technique!  I started with white heat embossing the images onto white cardstock. Using Distress Oxide Inks in Wilted Violet, Worn Lipstick. Spiced Marmalade, and Peeled paint, I blended the inks over the images.  Distress Oxide inks blend so beautiful and effortlessly!  To give the posies a bit of distressed look, I spritzed water over them and blotted with a paper towel.  Using the coordinating Pretty Posies Fri-Dies, the images were cut out.  I arranged my Pretty Posies onto a grey circle of cardstock and adhered.  I white heat embossed a sentiment onto a black cardstock strip and hand cut in a banner shape, adding it with foam adhesive.

For my background, I didn't just want it to be white.  So, I pulled out the Spiral Stencil from ClearScraps.  Using this stencil, I blended Broken China Distress Oxide Ink from the center out, giving it that faded out look.  To my top folding, stenciled notecard, I added my Pretty Posies focal point and random clear sequins were added for sparkle!  Thanks so much for joining me here today!

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Wish Big

Happy Saturday!

Would you like to see a simple card that makes a big splash?
This card from Shona using a big sentiment stamp from our Bold Wishes stamp set is paired with lots of lovely, happy colored branches from our Casual Trees Fri-Dies

Here is what Shona said about creating this card:
I die-cut the branches from watercolour cardstock and coloured Distress Inks. The 'Wish Big' was stamped twice with Versafine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder for a bit of shine.

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Calm and Loving meets Love Notes

Happy Wednesday!

I'll bet you're wondering where the heck we've been! We took an unexpected break. There was so much going on in the lives of my team that it just seemed like the right thing to do to say let's just breathe and take a few days off. So we did.
We have recharged our batteries and are ready to start delighting you again!

Today Nora is here with a really cute card. She got inky with Calm and Loving and Love Notes to create this sweet creation.

Gold embossing absolutely makes this card! I love that she embossed the gold on white, black and a fun color.
Here's what Nora said about this card...
Wanted to use the "Calm and Loving" set that I just received from you. I need a pick me up so I decided to use gold and then accented it with the bright orange. I know it is a different way to use the music but I thought it was fun. I love to find ways to use the stamps in different ways then expected!!

I think the addition of the little Fun-Fetti Fri-Dies hearts is perfection!

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Happy Monday!
Are you ready for a fun card from Lisa? She got artsy with our Flower Power stamp set to create this neato card.

Here's what Lisa said about her process:
I hand water painted my background design. Added a kraft frame around it and stamped and embossed my sentiment from the Flower Power Stamp set with clear embossing powder on patterned paper before I hand cut it out. After that I popped it up with foam adhesive and added a mix of sequins and enamel dots.

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)
